Hi,

a very simple problem, but nevertheless I am really struggling with it and would appreciate any help.

10.0/50.0;

This generates the output:  .20000000

However, I need the output in the format 0.20

I've already tried the numeric formatting dialogue but it didn't change anything.

Any hints?

Andrea

If you type 1/1e6; then you get 0.000001000000000.

If you type 1/1e7; you will get

Hello,

I am trying to import some data into Maple from an Excel sheet that contains three columns.

Column 1 is simply an index number for the measurement running from 1 to 3185.

Column 2 is the time of the measurement ( e.g 10:23:44 ) with Excel formatting as "time".

Column 3 is the measured CO2 concentration logged at the psecific time.

My problem is that when I import the data into Maple using the ExcelTools,Import or simply the Import...

Just a question about Maple's formatting.  When I type parenthesis, brackets, or absolute value bars, how do I control what size they are displayed?  I'm typing a bunch of expressions as in-line comments for an assignment, and there are multiple parts with parenthesis within brackets, etc.  On certain lines, ever time I put a space after typing, the size of brackets on a previous line will alternate between large and small.  I can insert spaces into random...

Probably a very stupid question.

After hesitating for a very long time I decided as a very satisfied user of MAPLE 12 (Classic worksheet, I'm very conservative) to migrate to MAPLE 14.
However the processing of the files is very slow, autosaving takes for example about 2 minutes while with MAPLE 12 only a few seconds. Saving the file gives an alert: there can be problems in saving due to formatting problems.

I think I have to do some formatting of my MAPLE...

I'm finding that posts get burried very quickly in the new forum.

Also why can't we have the second level selection look like the first level (as seen here www.mapleprimes.com/posts)  ?  Unexpanded question topics (no summary)

I find the summary info as added fluff the forum doesn't need.

So do something like as the old one was (simplified with topics only here just for clarity and directory structure)
