I have Problem with the Maple command plotsetup, it does not seem to work within an if-statement.

What i would like to do is this:

1. Make a matrix with 0 or 1 as enteries

2. convert this matrix into a list where the 1's are points. (So the Matrix entery Matrix[1][1]:=1 would give the listvector:=[1,1]

3. plot these vectors as graphs and store them with the help of plotsetup

4. changing the matrix and rinse and repet 2,3,4 until satisfied

are there anyone can help me a little bit and check it why?

I need to draw the deformation of one story building (for simplicity, 4 columns and 2 floors) whose columns and floors  under influence of external load acting to the left of the building at its intersection point undergo the deform shape like S . So means that when the building moves to the right its intersection point of column and floor has some small rotation.

I want to solve numerically the nonlinear problem 

a*(diff(y(x), x, x))+2*(diff(y(x), x))+exp(y(x)) = 0, y(0) = 0, y(1) = 0

by defining my own method defined as 

y_n+1=y_n+2*h*(-2*y_n+2*ln(2/(1+x))-(1/2)*a)^2/(a*(-4*y_n+4*ln(2/(1+x))-a-h*(4*y_n-4*ln(2/(1+x))+a+x+1)/a))

where h is the step-size. Please help me by letting me know how can I do this using Maple 11.

How can several expression statements be not displayed during and after an execution process of "then"conditional statement (I mean "If.....then...")?
For example:

if .... then
exp1:
exp2:
exp2:
....... 

end if;

each expression above can consist of various commands in its body.All my exp statements were finished by ":"
but, they...

I would see on the monitor the vector n > 10 with all his components, but the output of Maple is always the structure of the vectors.

For example, if I write:

Hi I have a number of 3x3 matrix which i want to combine into one big matrix. But I need to add the end of the first matrix with the start of the second matrix, the end of the second matrix with the start of the third matrix and so on, forming a big diagonal matrix. May I know how can I do that?

for example : my Matrix will need to consist : M1₁₁M1₁₂M1₁₃,M1₂₁M1₂₂M1₂₃,M1₃₁M1₃₂

for example, how to define f(x,y)=sin(x+y) inside a triangle but f(x,y)=0 elsewhere? 

I have the numerical solution of Phi(r,t) which is a numerical solution of a pde..

I want to find the following energy integral at fixed time say t=10 ,

Energy = int(a*r^2*Phi(r,10)^2 + 2*b*r*Phi(r,10)^3,r=0..infinity)... I could not find help in maple.. I guess I had to do the following

1. select the numerical solution dependent only on r at t=10 slice..

2.Use numerical methods to evaluate the integral..

Does anyone know how to create one in maple? please see the example attached..

Where can i read about logic of assignment in maple? In all normal languages
c:=0;

c:=c+1; returns c to 1.

While maple gets into reccursion. Why politics of assignment was made so? Why imstead process all previous assignments maple also seems to process current one while calculating rhs (or lhs via evaln)? Where can i read about that and how actually assign value to expression without postprocessing of current operator ?

I am creating a maple document to display the tangent plane to a function. the resulting function and tangent plane are displayed in a plot component. The problem I am having is that I can display both the function and the tangent plant at the same time with the foloowing statements:
