That's the question... 'cause I've tried to open it using

./maple14/bin/maple -cw

like a thousand times and nothing happens...

Recently I've run into a strange problem logging into the MaplePrimes site.  I have two computers, both running Debian linux.  On one, I can login in using the FireFox browser.  On the other I cannot.  It accepts the password, but immediately reopens the window that prompts for a password.  If, however, I switch to the chrome browser on that machine, I can then login.  Any idea why Firefox (aka IceWeasel, on Debian) would have an issue?  Have I configured something strangely?...

On my Dell Latitude E5400 laptop with up-to-date Fedora 16:

With Maple15.01 on a x86_64 linux box running Fedora 14, I get the following error when trying to run a basic comand from LinearAlgebra:

> with(LinearAlgebra);
> R := RandomMatrix(4, 4):
> Eigenvalues(R);
Error, (in ifactor/SmallFactors/ext) external library libmodLA.so could not be found/used

Could someone please tell me what the required environment setup is so that Maple can find and use the external shared libraries?...

Hi,

I was wondering if it is possible for me to generate plots from command-line Maple. What I need to do is access a linux server remotely via PuTTy and then set Maple running on creating a plot (that takes it a couple of days). Is it possible to do this?

I can't seem to find out how after googling for a while, I was thinking it would be something like "maple <inputfile.mpl> outputfile" on the command-line then I'd just let it go and it...

I have been running up against a memory limitation when running maple.java v15 from a Linux Ubuntu workstation.  The memory indicator in Maple gets up to 39.36M but will not go above that.  After I reach this limit I am still able to perform further computations but Maple gets slow and eventually crashes.  Here is one of the lines from the error message:

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded

It looks like for me using shift+tab does not work in linux when one selects 1D as the default input notation and is typing in a worksheet.

Does anyone know where we should submit bug reports for things like this?

thanks.

I am setting up a new machine.

I was running Maple 13 on another machine running Fedora Linux 13.   I don't remember if I had any problems setting it up, but it was running fine.

But I removed it from the old machine and installed it on the new machine which is running Fedora 14 Linux.

Maple 13 loads but I get a message from SELInux about a problem with Maples's mserver and execcstack.   ...
