yes i need to write a new procedure.

i think i will need to use the 'if' or 'do' loop comands somewhere in this procedure. but im not sure how exactly. im guessing something with local variable like if i=j drop it. not sure. just ideas. i just started working with maple last week so i need some more expert advise.
