These are questions asked by Ramakrishnan

It is easy to draw all the types of arcs in plots. Hence a multiple plot may help under such situations. I attempted to draw for a few problems, but found it difficult. Can any one help in drawing the same to get neat and clean output drawings for me to explain the answer to students.

Thanks

Maple drawing shows all outer portions of circles.I used snipping tool to get cropped picture for first problem.

I already got a similar problem and got a response that i should use being forward and backward, but that seems to be not worth it many a times since figures become bigger in maple drawing with outer rectangles used for eliminating portions. (Ex: problem 1, not shown here)

Thanks.

Can any one find why the first code works and not the second code?
The same code, but not shown in the upload below.

reset; with(Plot)
plot(tan(x), x = -Pi .. Pi, y = -(1/2)*Pi .. (1/2)*Pi, color = ["blue"], legend = Graph*of*inverse*tan*`function"`, caption = " Domain = [-∞, ∞]; Principal range = [-π/2, π/2]")

"plot(tan^()(x),x=-Pi..Pi, y = -Pi/(2)..Pi/(2),color = ["blue"],legend = "\"inverse tan (""x"")\"", title= "Graph of inverse tan function", caption =" Domain = [-infinity, infinity]; Principal range = [-π/2, π/2]")"

Error, invalid =

"plot(tan(x),x=-Pi..Pi, y = -Pi/2..Pi/2,color = ["blue"],legend = , title= "Graph of inverse tan function", caption =" Domain = [-infinity, infinity]; Principal range = [-π/2, π/2]")"

I am preparing a document where in I want to show half circle inide the drawing. I can plot a half circle, but can not bring it inside the drawing canvass. Is there a way to show smooth curves inside the drawing. Pencil tool helps to show my curve, but not a smooth one! In any picture tool, bring forward, sent backward options will be there. Are there such tools in maple?
Thanks for answers.

Cheers.

I am writing a maths books using maple now. It is fantastic to use maple for writing books in maths.

Step 1: Find the sum of all the coefficients in the polynomial x^3-3*x^2-33*x+35 This line is copying in full!!
"= 1-3-33+35 = 0"

I enclose a part of my document where in I made a particular line with text and maths formats combined. Then I made changes in the line. Now copy paste does work only for the later half (both text and maths formats). The corrected first part is not being copied.

How do I do the corrections properly so that copy paste is not a problem at laer stages.

Thanks for the answer.

I like Maple the most for calculation of difficult parts. But when it comes to display, I am ignorant and do not know how to command the maple for showing me what is visible in the document.

I attach herewith my document which shows in print view only top half of the sketch. What should I do to show all three figures in the portrait page.
(Here below, after uploading it is shown alright, but in the print preview it is not showing!!).

I want to convert the doc to pdf. Therefore, in the doc preview itself it should be complete.

Thanks for help.
