Thanks, to all for taking an interest in my struggles with the wealth of knowledge and resources. I did my undergrad in Physics, so I'm biased towards their side. After the continuous drilling I now believe that for my subject area, mathematics is just a tool, and I leave the rigour, and beauty/elegance to the mathematicians. Don't get me wrong, I admire and envy pure mathematicians for those same reasons (abstractness, beauty, rigor...), but unfortunately my training in physics had no time for much of that. Other than the overly simplified example of arrays of elements, is there some sort of mechanical way of picturing a tensor ? Am I stuck with the just the algebraic descriptions of tensors ? respectfully, John,I also just had the idea of incorporating caramel in some way with coffee. Does anyone know if that has already been done, or if it sounds like a good idea ? Sorry for the last off topic questions. :)
Thanks, I'll take a look at it. v/r,

Jacues, Congrats on making 900. I'm getting situated to begin my journey of grad school-(Physics), so I've been away from primes for some time. Is there a color after red ? respectfully,
Thank a lot for looking at this. I sent a private message to Paulina Chin. Any other ideas of bringing this to Maplesoft's attention ? There also doesn't happen to be an accessible list of known Maple bugs available ? v/r,

Jacques, I totally agree with what you said about "Men of Mathematics". By just looking at the title some people would never believe that they may find themselves laughing after reading some passages as I have found myself doing sometimes. Also realizing that this book was written during a different period with respect to cultural issues, certain people may find some content in E.T. Bell's book to be sexist, or politically incorrect now. An example is his sole use of the pronouns he, and him, instead the more gender neutral they, or he/she. It's still good reading overall though. v/r, Have you also tried the title by Jacques Hadamard ?

Scott thanks, So this update is not specifically intended for Windows Vista users ? Am I correct ? v/r,
Is the add command basically the same as a summation ? v/r,
Thanks !
Thanks !
Did either of you happen to read "Men of Mathematics", by E.T. Bell ? I recently got a copy, and I'm enjoying it. Another title I'd recommend is "The Psychology of Invention in the Mathematical Field.", written by Jacques Hadamard. respectfully,

John and acer thanks, The statement on vectors and matrices being used for linear algebra, and arrays being useful data manipulative data structures I think summarizes it all well. dc
