Thanks again to everyone who responded. It appears I was looking in the wrong place. Plots in conjunction with plottolls is the way to go. Basically, you create the plots you need and then you translate/rotae them according to your geometry. Not necessarily very elegant, so if someone has a better solution would be glad to hear it.
