The function i wrote is the external work equating the internal enegy dissipation of a soil problem ( a quarry stability).

I think the shet you made it is well done. But, The problem for me that's i must find (x,y) between (0..Pi/2) because they are angles and (l1,l2) or (s,r) as you put them are the hypoténus of a triangle and it's related to H1=6m and h2=4m

l1=s= h1/cos(x);

l2=r= h2/cos(y)

So i must find postitive reals.

Hello, thank you for your help. I know that the minimim is an infinite number, i already plot a graphic and see that in (Pi/2) F is ---> minus infinty so i put (minus sign -) and tried to find a minimum

and the result is:

but in reality is (-534) and it is the extrema(Maximum)

What do you think??
