You are a step ahead (maybe two or three) of where I am on this type of programming. But I know enough to appreciate what you are doing.

You made a comment (about re-execution) that has me wondering about my experience last night.

I have a worksheet where I calculate and plot (polygonplot) Helga von Koch's snowflakes. In general my interest in resizing is to get a plot with as much detail as I am going to be able to use in class, not make a small plot and have generic algorithms stretch it larger. Specifically in this case I want to show as much detail of the snowflake as I can.

When I was working with it last night I computed the snowflakes and assigned them to kochstar(i). I then tried to display using the Resize() and Show(). The first one worked perfectly. However after that one, the code would seem to execute, but it would always show me the plot that I did first. Is there some sort of reinitialization that I need to add? I don't what to have to use restart, because I have just filled my memory with snowflakes.

Thanks and have a Blessed Christmas,

Bruce

This was easy to install and use. (Maple 15, Windows 7 64 bit).

One question.  This seems to proliferate locations where Maple code is located.  Would ther ebe any issues in putting it in the Maple 15/Toolbox?  If there are none, what would ahve to change to make it work?

Thanks

Bruce

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss

The error message could be more infornmative.

The programming Guide clearly containes the semi-colon!!  I don't recall getting a notice inthe last 4 months that I needed to download an updated programming guide.

Being inconsistent with a programming guide, if not a bug, is a serious issue.  It wasted alot of my time this afternoon.

Without better error messages, updated documentation, and stong communication I think it is a gross overstatement to say that "The bug tha started this thread is fixed."

Thanks to the Maple Primesfor the answer to a work around.

I am using Maple 15.1 and the problem is still there and has not been fixed.

The error message is that Maple cannot parse 'local' and it puts a dashed red box around 'local' which is in bold letters indicating that Maple has recognized it as a reserved word.

When one is trying to learn how to use Maple, using the correct systax and then getting an error is very frustrating and this afternoon it was a large WASTE OF TIME.

As noted above, omitting the semi-colon, which normally generates an error, is a work around for this problem.

When will this bug be fixed?  What 'future release' will it be in?

Thanks

Bruce
