Yes, that was what I needed to plot! One final question. If you plot the plane -x+y+z=3*Pi along with the previous plot, you can see that the plane intersects the main body of the first plot. Is there anyway that I can "snip off" that main plot where the plane passes through?
Hi Georgios, You have MINUS 0.5=0, whereas I have PLUS 0.5=0. I can get the one with the minus to work, but I don't think that there is a solution for the problem I have. I think that perhaps it's a typo in the book. Thanks for helping =)
Thanks Georgios, although I'm still having trouble with my plot. Can anyone get the following to plot in implicitplot3d? implicitplot3d(cos(.5*x)*cos(.5*z)+cos(.5*x)*cos(.5*y)+cos(.5*y)*cos(.5*z)+0.5,x=-Pi..Pi,y=-Pi..Pi,z=-Pi..Pi);
