Dear MapleSoft Team,

I am writing to share some feedback regarding a new feature introduced in Maple 2025. Specifically, when typing ^, /, or __ followed by a number or symbol and then entering another operator (such as +), the operator is automatically inserted on the baseline.

While I understand this "smart baseline behavior" may be useful for some users, I personally find it disruptive and counterproductive. It often interferes with my workflow rather than improving it.

May I suggest adding an option that allows users to choose whether to enable or disable this feature? Providing such flexibility would accommodate both those who appreciate the behavior and those who prefer the previous input style.

Thank you for considering this feedback. I hope this suggestion can help improve the user experience for a wider range of Maple users.

(1) The gray line above the working area is redundant.

(2) Line Style, Color, and the "Delete" key function to delete object are not working properly.

(3) IdentifySequence([1,3,5,7,9]) without the second argument does not work.

(4) IdentifySequence should first identify simple patterns (Arithmetic Progression, Geometric Progression, Arithmetic-Geometric Progression, Harmonic Progression) before attempting to find a more complex formula for the nth term of the sequence.

(5) It would be beneficial if IdentifySequence recognized sequences involving rational, irrational and symbolic numbers.

Referring to the screenshots, "J" can be converted to "N m" in MF2024.1, but not in M2024.2.
Is this some sort of bug in M2024.2?
