As I said in my first entry, the "patch" or update has been applied to a couple of machines I have tested and it continues to shut down in the same way. Also, if I uncheck the "AutoSave" feature and it shuts down, my users will then lose all their work, correct? What is unchecking the "AutoSave" feature going to accomplish?

William, thank you for your reply and I am sorry I left out some details. The machines are using XP SP2 with a 3.2 Ghz Xeon processor, 1 GB RAM and as for the version of Maple...when I go to help>about Maple, all I get is build number 190196 May 13, 2005. Is there somewhere else I should go to view my version? Thanks for any help.
