What is the process for getting this even better result than what simplify(..., size) can produce, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks alot for the effort! What you are saying about reusing subexpressions is exactly what I was aiming at.

I literally just left my workstation for the day where I have access to Maple, but I will check it out as soon as I can.

These equations are, as might be obvious to some, one vector in my foreward kinematics. I have about 35 more or so(not all as long as here). As my PLC is going to calculate position based on these vectors constantly, it is optimal to make them as short as possible. This will make it easier for the PLCs CPU to handle. So again, thank you for the effort. I will try it out as soon as I can.

Thanks for the response. The simplify-function actually shortened it quite alot. MATLAB could not simplify it at all, on the contrary it made the equations longer with its simplify-function.

The optimize-function however did not shorten it to an extent where it is significantly helpful to exchange it. It yields a better optimization than without simplifying first, but not as short as I had hoped was possible.

But again, thanks alot for the response. For now, I'll go with the simplification this resulted in, unless someone else can think of another way to do it.
