Ok, thanks for that information. I'm slightly confused however as when I click on the "buy now" on the webpage for MapleSim student edition (https://maplesoft.com/products/maplesim/academic/), it directs me to the Webstore, where the only option (for buying a student edition) is to buy the Maple student package. I see that there is an "upgrade" option on the store front, however, I need a product key for a Maple product to see the upgrades, and my 15 day license doesn't allow me to see those upgrades. 

Perhaps it is just me, but from what I can see, the price transparency is very poor.
